In the past 30+ years, I’ve bought and sold items at consignment shops — several times. Just to be clear, a thrift store is different from a consignment store. I absolutely LOVE shopping for gently used clothing at thrift stores. But I’m not so crazy about shopping at clothing consignment stores. Ditto for selling items at clothing consignment shops. On the other hand, I’ve always had wonderful experiences buying AND selling at furniture consignment stores! Here are my best tips.
