There are numerous costs that can make running a small business difficult.

Faxing, conference calls, business cards, and teleconferencing are a few things that large companies can do with ease (and without weighing down expenses), but small businesses need all the help they can get.

Home fax machines never seem to last very long.  Using office centers to send and receive faxes can cost you a bit of time and money.

There is, however, another way.

You can receive faxes online… for FREE!   All you need is a computer with an Internet connection and a scanner for faxing certain documents.

Here are lots of different websites that provide business resources you can use… for FREE…

Send & Receive Free Faxes

K7.net allows you to receive free faxes and voicemail.  They are sent to your email account.  You can also check your messages online.  The system can handle 20 messages at a time, so old messages need to be deleted.  Incoming faxes should not exceed 2 megs.

There are also several websites that allow you to send free faxes online.  They usually limit you to 2 outgoing faxes per day.  Faxzero.com is one of these sites. Freefaxbutton.com.

Here are even more great ways to send and receive faxes for free!

Free Conference Calls

You don’t need a fancy phone system to have a conference call; all you need is a regular landline or cell phone and a dial-in number.  There are numerous online sites that provide this service.

Freeconference.com gives you an phone number that you can use to schedule conference calls whenever you want.  You don’t even have to make a reservation.  The only costs to you are regular long distance charges.  If you have an unlimited long distance package, there will be no additional charges to you at all.  You can also choose to have low-cost conference calls using 1-800 numbers.

Freeconferencecall.com gives you a free dial-in number and access code that you can use any time day or night.  Each call can accommodate up to 96 calls, and a call can last as long as 6 hours.  You are charged normal domestic telephone rates.  There is also the option of toll-free conferencing for 6 cents per minute that can take 250 callers at a time.

You can also make free phone calls and video conferencing calls with the assistance of the very popular Skype.com.  All you need to do is download the service’s software to your computer.

Free Business Cards

Don’t pay for your starter business cards when there are sites that will make professional looking cards for free (included in the cost of printing and processing).

VistaPrint.com is the premier site for free business cards for small businesses.  You can also purchase low-cost post cards and other promotional materials.

Bizcard.com is a newer website that promises over 400 free business card templates, and they will plant a tree with every order.
